Serving the Sun City Center Community since 2001
Looking for a place to let your dog run free, make new friends, and feel confident that all dogs are up to date on their vaccinations and are spayed/neutered? Well look no further then your own Sun City Center community.
Sun City Center has a dog owner’s club (D.O.G.) and a dog park on the South side and is open from dawn to dusk all year for members of the D.O.G. club. We have a small dog park for those dogs under 30 lbs and a big dog park. Both are nicely maintained with grass for the dogs to run around, trees for shade, agility equipment for training, poop bags and nice pavilions with fans for their humans. The park is sprayed yearly for bugs and grass is mowed weekly. The park is maintained by the Sun City Center Community Association. The club keeps a record of all dogs to ensure that all dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. All this for $35.00 a year per household. We also have three dinner socials a year. Each dog in your household will receive a dog tag that has the S.C.C. security patrol’s phone number on it. If your dog gets lost, and someone finds him/her they can call the S.C.C. Security Patrol office, the dog will be scanned for a chip and the owner will be notified.
Membership for the 2024 season is open now through December 31, 2023.The park hours are from dawn to dusk seven days a week.
For residents of S.C.C. who pay yearly S.C.C. dues,(live in S.S.C., Freedom Plaza and Aston Gardens, but do not wish to pay the DOG $35.00 dues, the park is open before 8am and after 6pm only for your use all year.
Beginning in January, all non member dogs will be required to complete an application, show proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of spayed/neutered and send in a self addressed stamped envelope to receive a black dog tag. Proof of your SCC badge while on premises will be required. This change is due so we can assure all dogs in the parks are vaccinated and spayed/neutered.
There are currently both membership and non membership forms on our web site and at the park.
